August 26, 2008 - We will no longer be providing links for clients to access Aflac forms.  Phyllis Dent from Aflac called our office today at 3:05 pm CST and said that we had to remove all links that we provided to our clients to make their life easier.  Aflac does not want agents to provide links to claim forms for their clients.  If you have a group Aflac plan and want to change to another fine voluntary benefits company please call our office at 314-438-0222 and we will be happy to help you.  I have been fighting with Aflac over this for the last several years and I am tired of arguing with them.  Last year they threatened to sue me for providing links to claim forms on THEIR website so that my clients could get the forms they needed easily.

April 7, 2006 - we are still updating the search section and it should be complete within a week.  It is usable during this period but not everything is included yet.

Employers must disclose prescription drug coverage for individuals eligible for Medicare Part D

The Medicare Prescription Drug Improvement and Modernization Act of 2003 requires entities that provide prescription drug coverage to individuals eligible for Medicare Part D to disclose to CMS (the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services) whether the coverage is creditable or non-creditable. CMS has issued guidance on the form, manner and timing of providing the Disclosure Notice to CMS. This Disclosure to CMS guidance is posted on the Creditable Coverage Web page at http://www.cms.hhs.gov/CreditableCoverage/.

An entity is required to complete the Disclosure Notice form on the CMS Creditable Coverage Disclosure Web page at http://www.cms.hhs.gov/apps/ccdisclosure/ unless the entity is specifically exempt as outlined in the Disclosure to CMS guidance. Additional information about creditable coverage is available on CMS' Creditable Coverage Web page at http://www.cms.hhs.gov/CreditableCoverage/.

We can now accept requests for quotes electronically!  Just fill in your information on the online form and we will prepare quotes from several carriers for your review and consideration!

Now that we are in a new year some dependents may no longer be covered under your group health insurance plan.  If you have a child who is no longer covered check on short-term medical plans if they will soon be covered somewhere else.

Medicare Part D is now open for enrollment and the confusion grows for some.  Call the office at 314-438-0222 for help with this.  You can see a copy of our recent newsletter here. You can also check the Medicare Website.  If someone has creditable coverage it is not necessary to enroll for Part D yet.  If you don't know if your coverage is creditable call our office.  If you need to enroll in a Part D plan we can check to see what plans cover your particular RX's.
